There’s something about Spring that makes us all want to start over and begin again. The windows open after a season of closure, the air moves through spaces that likely haven't felt it in a while, and suddenly you notice everything that’s been sitting around your space for a little too long. You can start with something simple, like an herbal floor wash. Completely natural and made with intention, it not only clears the dust but also the energy that settled with it.
A broom works the same way, moving stagnant energy out to allow the movement of fresh intentions. Altar brooms are used this way on our table tops and in sacred spaces, clearing away the remnants of past rituals and spells.
Rose Water is a beautiful, natural way to freshen your linens, the air around you, and yourself. The essence of rose has been used for centuries to call in love, creativity, and attraction.
Sound is also a well-known clearer of energy. Simply walking through your space while ringing a bell can shift the vibration.
Once your space is cleared, hang a protective talisman above your doorway to create a boundary that filters negative energy out while allowing positive energy in. We love the Eye of Nasir for this, horse shoes, a Bridgid's cross, or a piece of selenite.
